FT Silfies Inc. Introduces Silfies Bulk Transport LLC

Nazareth, PA -  FT Silfies Inc., a mid Atlantic dry bulk aggregate carrier has launched a new company called Silfies Bulk Transport for hauling various liquid commodities.

 

“We are very excited to expand our capabilities into the liquid bulk marketplace, however we will be a very specialized carrier only handling certain products for certain customers,” explained Justin Risbon, Operations manager for the Aberdeen, MD location for Price Trucking, an FT Silfies company.  “We didn’t want to confuse the market place or diversify our core trucking companies too far away from what they do best, as FT Silfies and Price Trucking are dry bulk aggregate carriers.  We have drivers that are very experienced with liquid commodities and our insurance carrier protects us by having pollution coverage rolled back in to our auto coverage,” added Risbon.

 

“We have an executive management team that has spent many years managing some of the best liquid carriers in the country that include Chemical Leaman Tank Lines, Matlack, and Quality Carriers….we are certainly no stranger to liquid bulk,”  added Randy Sheeler, President & CEO of FT Silfies and Price Trucking.  “We have a way of meeting our customer’s requests by diversifying to handle their needs and that’s why we launched Silfies Bulk.  This will be a very small operation dedicated to a single customer and a single product, but we are a for hire carrier and will look at additional opportunities as they arise, but we have no plans to compete in the long haul chemical market,” added Sheeler.  “We’re very excited to be growing when the rest of the market seems to be digressing.  Times are not easy and there are certainly many barriers to entry in this economy, but when a customer requests our services, we try to find 10 ways to make it happen rather than 1 way to not,”  Sheeler added.

 

Silfies Bulk Transport, LLC will be based out of Aberdeen, MD.
