Markussen Joins Silfies

 

Nazareth, PA – Einar Markussen has joined FT Silfies, a regional mid Atlantic dry bulk carrier, as Regional Operations Director for all Maryland based terminals.

 

“We are very fortunate to have Einar on our team,” stated Bruce Donovan, Vice President of Operations.  “Einar joins us from General Electric’s TIP trailer leasing division where he covered four leasing and maintenance facilities in MD, as well as having spent 8 years with Chemical Leaman Tank Lines (CLTL) and Quality Carriers (QC).  He has a strong operations background in trucking and will continue to enable Silfies to grow in the Maryland and Virginia markets,” added Donovan.

 

“Einar is a consummate team player and has the ability to take Silfies to another level and having spent many years with Einar at CLTL and QC, we know he knows how to run freight and organically grow our business,” added Jim Niness, Executive Vice President and COO.  He’s familiar with our systems, our customer base and can certainly provide the leadership we need to move our business to the Southeast market ans we’re thrilled he’s is a part of our team.
