ECBM Named New Insurance Agent

 

Nazareth, PA – FT Silfies Inc., a mid Atlantic regional dry bulk carrier has named ECBM of Conshohocken, PA their new insurance agent.

 

“We were hesitant to make a change with our insurance agent, however we felt as though we were missing something that a stronger broker could bring to the table,” stated Hank Beech, Vice President of Risk Management.  “Our agent should be an extension of who we are and we want them to know more about our business and our exposures than we do and I think ECBM will fill that void,” added Beech.

 

“We have a goal to be the safest carrier in our industry regardless of our size,” stated President & CEO, Randy Sheeler.  “We have several unique exposures in handling dry bulk materials and we want to make sure we are thoroughly covered through insurance coverage or self insurance.  There is no room for margin as drivers don’t leave each morning with plans to have an accident, that’s why they’re called accidents,” added Sheeler.
