FT Silfies to Test Oil Purification System’s OPS-1 Oil Refiner System

Nazareth, PA – FT Silfies Inc., a regional mid Atlantic dry bulk carrier announced today that it will begin its trial of the OPS-1 Oil Refiner System on several of their newest 2006 and 2007 Mack Visions.

“We were able to perform several analyses and evaluations in a very short time frame to confirm that the OPS-1 system could save us significant dollars.  We run a short to regional operation with multiple trips in a single day and climbing the hills of central Pennsylvania can be hard on our engines,” according to Stephen “Butch” Wolf, Director of Maintenance for Silfies.  “We were also very excited that the system can be easily mounted and only weighs 11 pounds, and can be transferred fairly easily from tractor to tractor,” added Wolf.

FT Silfies is a recognized leader with a reputation for seeking out innovative technologies that support business growth and the company more than doubled its size over the past 12 months.  “Silfies continues to lead the dry bulk industry with technology and has developed a philosophy to run long and hard, which is why we spec our equipment the way we do,” according to Chris Silfies, Regional Operations Manager.  “Imagine running a tractor to 100,000 miles without a single oil change.  The OPS-1 system allows engines to run with clean oil by eliminating solid and liquid contaminants from engine oil and hydraulic fluid and this in turn, extends the life of engine oil,” Silfies added.
