Chris Silfies is Promoted to Regional Operations Manager

 

(Nazareth, PA) – F.T. Silfies, Inc., a regional Mid-Atlantic dry bulk carrier announced that Chris Silfies has been promoted to Regional Operations Manager for the company.

 

“We are excited to offer this position to Chris,” stated Jim Niness, Chief Operating Officer.  Chris grew up in the family trucking business and has been around trucking his entire life.  “Once Quantum Equity Partners LLC purchased the company in June 2005, we challenged Chris with managing the Evansville, PA terminal, which is on site with one of our largest customers.  Chris’ main goal was to focus on growth and he developed a plan that included increasing driver hiring and retention, as well as organic growth from the customer and new customers.  He performed miraculously and exceeded our expectations with little direction,” added Niness.

 

“Chris is a team player and definitely someone we want on this team for a very long time,” added Randy Sheeler, President & CEO.  He’s young and aggressive and has seen us take an excellent foundation that his family started and grow it with equity, time, hard work and dedication.  Chris is a driver advocate and is passionate about this business and the drivers that represent his name on the side of the equipment, that’s something that just can’t be taught,” added Sheeler.

 

Chris will oversee multiple terminals for Silfies and will be responsible for managing the recruiting efforts for the company, as well as oversee the prestigious President’s Road Team.
