Our History
In 1946, Forrest T. Silfies bought his first tractor to transport coal from the Lehigh Valley region in Pennsylvania.
In 1959, Forrest transported the first load of cement from the Whitehall Cement plant in the Lehigh Valley and from starting out as a small trucking business in Danielsville, Pennsylvania, today F.T. Silfies Inc. has grown to become a leader in the Bulk Cement Transportation Industry. Today, with a corporate location in Allentown, PA, F.T. Silfies, Inc. has satellite terminals throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions including Fleetwood and Stockertown, Pennsylvania and Aberdeen, Maryland.
Today, F.T. Silfies, Inc. is privately owned. In May 2010, F.T. Silfies announced it has affiliated with Quality Distribution out of Tampa, FL.
